Data Transfer Policy

Penovate provides and supports multiple methods to ensure the safe and secure transfer of data.

These supported methods are listed below:

• Secure FTP

• Secure File Transfer

• Encrypted USB Drive

 

All data that needs to be transferred should be stored before, during and after transmission and will be encrypted. Penovate uses Security Software to store and protect these encryption

keys. If the tools to encrypt the data are not installed on Customer Systems then data cannot be encrypted at that end, but data will be encrypted when it comes to rest on Penovate

systems.

 

No other method should be used to transfer data unless prior authorisation from the Technical Services Manager.

 

Data that is stored on the Secure FTP or Secure File Transfer Site is stored for a maximum of 90 days in the customer area. After which time, files will be archived for a further 30 days,

after which the files will be deleted from the system.
